Office Assistant
About the Role:
We are looking for a dependable, organized, and friendly Office Assistant & Receptionist to join our team. This is an entry-level position that plays an important role in keeping our office running smoothly and making visitors feel welcome. Training and ongoing support will be provided, and we’re happy to make reasonable accommodations to help the right candidate succeed.
This opportunity may be a full time position for one person or a shared part time role between two people. This position requires in-office attendance at our headquarters on the Northside. This role is hourly and non-exempt and has a starting salary of $15-$18 per hour, commensurate with experience, skillset, and availability. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm with a half hour meal break.
A successful candidate will have a friendly personality, be dependable with the ability to follow a routine or schedule, and be detail oriented and organized. We encourage individuals of all abilities to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Reception & Guest Services
- Greet and direct visitors with a warm, professional attitude
- Answer and route phone calls; take messages when needed
- Keep the front desk and common areas tidy and organized
- Send, receive, sort, and deliver mail and packages
- Assist with scheduling meetings, visits, and maintenance calls
Office Support
- Help maintain and organize office supplies and restock as needed
- Maintain a tidy, organized break room and restock supplies as needed
- Assist with filing, scanning, and basic document organization
- Support team members with general administrative tasks
- Help prepare meeting spaces and keep shared areas tidy
- Help support a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the office
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly and respectful communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Basic computer skills or a willingness to be trained
- Ability to follow instructions and routines consistently
- Ability to speak and understand English, climb stairs, use hands or adaptive equipment to push buttons, type, or carry and/or pick up objects.
